4 coats of paint this time. Getting the hang of watching reflections in the paint for orange peel and then squirting on a little more paint repeatedly until it flows out. Only got cocky twice and got runs.
Also found where my dust was coming from. The poly roll I was using to degrease it was leaving behind little fibres. So I guess I’m sanding it all again, but hopefully with 4+2 layers of paint I shouldn’t go through, and the work sanding it back should make it look a mile deep when the gloss goes on :)

Yeah, that’s the nice thing about painting. The more coats you put on and sand back, the better the eventual finish. So getting something
wrong
may add time,
but you wind up with a better finish at the end.
